**COVID-19**

PPE and social distancing will remain in place at the surgery for protection of the staff and patients for the foreseeable future.

Central Park Surgery and Leyland Primary Care Network have now vaccinated most of our patients over 50 years (or aged 16-65 with an underlying health condition) with their 1st covid vaccination.  We will continue to recall these patients for their 2nd covid vaccination.

Anyone under 50 years will be recalled nationally at the appropriate time.  These patients will be advised to ring 119 or book online at https://www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination/do-you-have-an-nhs-number.  This service will direct you to the nearest covid vaccine site which should be Buckshaw Village Surgery.

If you are over 50 years, or have an underlying health condition, and have not had your 1st covid vaccination yet please ring 119 or book online at https://www.nhs.uk/book-a-coronavirus-vaccination/do-you-have-an-nhs-number

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

The current pandemic situation is challenging for everyone in different ways and we appreciate that the situation we all find ourselves in can be frustrating sometimes. Unfortunately a number of our staff have recently experienced foul and abusive language or behaviour from a minority of patients. This is not acceptable and we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour towards our staff – all of whom continue to work tirelessly during this pandemic. In line with our zero tolerance policy, if you are found to be abusive towards members of staff then appropriate action will be taken.

There are good parking facilities for patients. The practice has had to introduce clamping for non patient parking at a cost to the practice, due to non patient abuse of the facilities.

Disabled patients can access the practice via the wheel chair ramp at the main door of the surgery. There are toilets off the entrance hall with facilities for the disabled. The practice is currently reviewing the facilities to ensure we conform with the Disability Act which recently came into force.

THE LEYLAND COLLABORATIVE

We have been working hard to increase the numbers of appointments available for you. This has involved developing a partnership with other local practices, which we are pleased to tell you has now resulted in the formulation of the group named above. The Leyland Collaborative consists of the following practices Worden Medical Centre, Central Park Surgery, Sandy Lane Surgery, and The Village Surgeries -  Croston & Eccleston. The new service will provide access to GP and Nurse appointments at weekends and Bank Holidays (except Christmas Day) GP appointments weekday evenings. The service is available to all patients within this group on a proportionate basis however it is important to be aware that the appointment may not necessarily be at this practice. These are all additional appointments so it is not the case that patients of other practices will now utilise all our appointments.

Available appointments will be offered as normal through this surgery and you will be informed if the appointment is at another site.
