COVID-19

Central Park Surgery is and always has been open since the COVID-19 crisis. However, we will continue to book on the day appointments only for GP's. Any appointments with the practice nurse / HCA / blood clinic will continue to be pre-booked in advance. This has never changed. Your appointment request will be triaged by the reception team and you will be given the option to speak to a clinician via telephone or face-to-face.

Please be patient as the phone lines can be busy at that time but be assured your call will be answered. Any abusive / aggressive language towards the reception team will not be tolerated and appropriate action will be taken.

July 2022 Appointments

Throughout July 2022, 93 patients did not attend their face-to-face appointments with the GP’s / Nurses.

Please contact us if you cannot make your appointment so we can offer this appointment to someone else.

Thank you.

Appointments System

PLEASE NOTE WE CAN ONLY BOOK APPOINTMENTS VIA TELEPHONE OR USING PATIENT ACCESS / GP APP. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THE SURGERY TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.

Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery (01772 325110). We have a system which means we can offer an appointment on the day of contact. We only pre book a few appointments in advance. Please contact the receptionists should you need further clarification.

The appointment times are 10 minutes per patient. If more than one member of the family needs to be seen, please make separate appointments for each member of the family. Please note children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. It would be helpful if you could cancel any appointments you no longer require.

We try to ensure that patients are given appointments with a doctor or health care professional within 24 to 48 hours of the request.

Emergency Appointments

If you need an emergency appointment, please ring 01772 325110. The receptionist will ask you for details of the problem, as instructed by the doctors. This is to assist the doctors to assess the urgency of each case.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for patients who are too poorly to attend surgery. All visits are triaged by the doctors. The doctors will decide whether a home visit is necessary or whether the patient ought to be seen at the surgery.

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
