Dr K Patel (M)

Partner

MB, ChB, DA

Dr K Patel is a family doctor who provides medical care to all patients registered at the practice. Dr Patel works at the practice 2 days a week.

He oversees the management of the practice with Dr Ibrahim Patel.

Dr I Patel (M)

Partner

Dr I Patel joined the practice in August 2020. He works 4 days a week at the practice and is a partner.

He oversees the management of the practice with Dr Kit Patel.

Dr T Ogunbanwo (F)

Dr Temi joined the practice in August 2023. She works at the practice 3 days a week.

Dr J Smith (F)

Dr Smith works at the practice one day a week. Dr Smith specialises in Dermatology.

Our Nursing Team

Gaynor

Nurse Practitioner

Gaynor is a Nurse Practitioner who works alongside the GP’s 2 days per week. Gaynor is able to do the contraceptive implants and she will be developing this service. Our highly trained Nurse Practitioners can treat a whole range of symptoms including:

Back pain 

Child health 

Gastroenterology – abdominal pain, reflux, vomiting, constipation

Respiratory problems 

Eye / ENT problems

Betcy

Nurse Practitioner

Betcy is a Nurse Practitioner who works alongside the GP’s 4 days per week.

Laine joined the practice in October 2024. Whilst carrying out her training, she is currently able to do:

Marie

Practice Nurse

Marie joined the practice in May 2022. Marie is responsible for; treatment room, postnatal checks, health checks, children’s immunisations, wound care, ECGs, chronic disease management, smoking cessation advice, testosterone/zoladex/prostap injections, B12, ROS/clip removals and 24hr blood pressure monitoring.

Lorinda

Healthcare Assistant

Lorinda can be contacted for the following – Blood pressure checks / urine checks, blood tests, health checks, assist with minor ops, simple wounds, chronic disease management & ECG’s.

Practice Manager

Heather manages the overall running of the practice. Heather is responsible for financial management. If you would like to speak to her directly, please call the surgery.

Reception

Our fully trained receptionists are here to help you and assist any queries you may have. They are responsible for dealing with appointments, prescriptions and carrying out doctors requests. Please respect that as instructed by the GP, our receptionists will often inquire about the nature of your problem to ensure you receive the best care and are booked in with the correct clinician.

We would appreciate your cooperation in helping them to do this. In line with our zero tolerance policy, if you are found to be abusive towards members of staff then appropriate action will be taken.

Safeguarding Champion

Sam provides secretarial duties throughout the practice and she is responsible for referral letters to secondary care. If you have any queries regarding referrals or hospital appointments, please call the surgery and ask for Sam who will be able to assist you.

Rina

Pharmacist

Rina is the Practice Pharmacist who works with us on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Rina carries out medication reviews, blood pressure monitoring and medication queries, including non-diabetic hyperglycaemia. Rina is a prescribing pharmacist.

Karen

Medicines Coordinator & Pre Reg Pharmacy Technician

Karen is our Medicines Coordinator and Pre Reg Pharmacy Technician. Karen works at the practice Monday – Thursday. Karen focuses on reviewing, improving and implementing prescribing policies, medication alignments and queries. Karen deals with any hospital letters that require medication and amendments, she also deals with recalls for drug monitoring.


Community Nurses

District Nurses are fully qualified nurses who provide nursing care in the community. They liaise closely with the GPs to ensure continuity of care. They also liaise with the hospitals to continue care after discharge.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a fully qualified nurse who has had extra training in caring for people in the community. Her role is to help families especially those with very young children.

The health visitor will visit the patient at home sometime after your baby is 10 days old. She will give information on feeding, general health and safety, offer advice and support if you have any problems and continue to look after your child until he/she is 5 years old.

She will visit you at home and will also be available at the surgery weekly. She will attend the surgery for Health Checks, liaising with the GPs.

First Contact Physiotherapist

Will is a First Contact Physiotherapist who is at the practice on a Monday. His appointments are pre-bookable. Will is able to triage, assess and diagnose musculoskeletal problems. Will is able to administer exercise & injection therapy and refer onto secondary care for further treatment.
